５通りの「課税される」

日本に居住する企業はその所得に法人税を課税される。

何通り言えますか？下の単語を使って言ってみてください。

上の４つより頻度は少ないですが「apply」を使っても言えます。

Corporate tax applies to the income of a Japanese resident company.

意味的にはどれもほぼ同じで、何に重きを置くかでどれを使うか決めます。

- 納税者（a Japanese resident company）を強調したいなら１か２、

- 法人税に主眼を置くなら３か４を使います。

前後の文とのつながり、主語の一貫性で決める場合もあります。例えば、

A Japanese resident company is subject to corporate tax on its income, so it has to file a tax return by the filing due date. 

日本に居住する企業はその所得に法人税を課税されるので、期限までに申告を行わなければならない。→　企業に重き＆主語は両方とも「日本に居住する企業」

Corporate tax is imposed on the income of a Japanese resident company, and it must be paid generally within two months from the end of the fiscal year. 

日本に居住する企業はその所得に法人税を課税される。法人税の支払期限は年度末から２カ月以内である。　→　法人税に重き＆主語は両方とも「法人税」
